the triangle church band   Kevin Darby was Director of Music with the non-denominational fellowship we attended, and we assembled a band and choir that really were something to hear. Always on call, we rehearsed songs, usually on very short notice, to play during Sunday's worship service. Over time we developed a seriously impressive repertoire. We were fortunate not only to have our own building, but to be able to install a professional level recording studio in it as well.

We put the studio to good use on a number of projects, and Be Still, My Soul was certainly a highlight. Kevin produced this devotional CD as a companion to the book of the same name, authored by our lead evangelist Sam Laing.

I had the privilege of arranging and recording the lion's share of electric and acoustic guitar, as well as some of the bass guitar parts. I also assisted in the arrangement of the title track's harmony vocals. This adaptation of the hymn first saw light as I played it on my acoustic guitar during one of my quiet times. Kevin heard it, and the rest as they say is history (that's him singing). Sadly the book and CD are now out of print. You can hear a couple of samples from the CD by clicking on the artwork.
