crosswinds   When we weren't racing against the clock to create a presentation, Kevin and I were playing acoustic guitar together in his group, Crosswinds. Kevin sang lead, played rhythm, and I sang backup and played lead. We had two women backup singers, both gifted, and together we sounded enormous.

Besides some enthusiastically-received spirituals, we performed a plethora of classic soft-rock covers, from Elton John to James Taylor to the Doobie Brothers. The primary function of the group was to bring some joy to needy folks, and we played a number of nursing homes, schools and prisons. It was a tremendously rewarding experience.
